Michelle Phan was born in Boston, Massachussets. Michelle Phan is a Vietnamese descent, and after years her birth her family moved to the San Fransisco, California.
At the beginning of her career in 2005, Phan had a blog in which she discussed different makeup tutorials and received requests for further instruction. She began posting her video tutorial on Youtube in May 2007 with the username Ricebunny. That was the beginning of his career on Youtube as a publisher.
After her success videos on Youtube with the make-up tutorials, many brands such as L'oreal launched a new cosmetic line called "em" by Michelle Phan in August 2013.
Phan announced her partnership with Endemol Beyond USA to build a talent network that will feature people from YouTube and create content for millennials in May 2014.
